About the role 
We currently have a position available for a reliable and passionate Companion carer to join our team in Wagga Wagga, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. 
You'll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a great asset to our team. 
The role will vary between day and night shifts, so sleepover experience is essential. 
Responsibilities will include: 
Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client 
Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship and support 
Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities 
Preparing meals as needed 
Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client 
Responding to emergency situations 
Weekend and overnight shifts 
Experience with people experiencing cognitive decline 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges 
Experience with sleepovers 
Current National Police Check 
Current First Aid & CPR certificates

Pay: From $40.93 per hour
