This is a hands-on Senior Bookkeeper role working with clients day to day with supervision of a small team.ResponsibilitiesClientsFocus within the small to medium enterprise (SME) spaceLead client relationships as a senior advisor whilst supervising a small bookkeeping teamResponsible for the transactional processing, reconciliations, timely reporting and information of multiple external SME clientsPeopleContribute to an enjoyable working environmentLead a small SME bookkeeping team to work cohesively, prioritise work, hit deadlines and produce timely, accurate and valuable data for our clientsActively participate as a team member to contribute to the success of the teamDemonstrate our values and behavioursTechnical ExcellencePayroll Processing and Legislative KnowledgeBank reconciliationsCredit card reconciliationsAccounts Payable processing including bill entry, review of GL codingPayment preparation/processingAccounts Receivable processing including creation of invoices, debtor managementManagement of the integrity and accuracy of client financial reports – P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash FlowAbility to research and interpret accounting principles, apply to client situations and problem solve autonomouslyFinancialAdhere to KPIs around productivity, invoicing, and billable timePractice DevelopmentGain referrals through existing client relationshipsInnovationMake continuous improvements to accounting systems and processesLook for new software/tech to assist with providing clients with great adviceCore Capabilities AND Core Traits & BehavioursExperience using accounting systems (e.g. Xero) & Microsoft (e.g. Excel)Supervision experienceAbility to resolve complex accounting issuesAbility to work under pressure and meet strict deadlinesAbility to work without supervisionGood interpersonal skillsCommitment to own personal developmentEnthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, and looking for a challengePassion for the role, team, and accountingExperience3 years experience in a Senior Bookkeeping role.
