About This Role:Our client is a highly respected aged care provider in the Port Broughton region, renowned for its person-centred approach and commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors. We are seeking a full-time Nursing Support Worker to join their dedicated care team.

In this role, you will provide hands-on personal care while fostering meaningful connections with residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing is prioritised. Key Duties & Responsibilities:Clinical & Care Support:
* Assist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal assistance while promoting independence
* Measure and record vital signs, weight, and fluid intake/output as directed
* Support medication management by reminding residents and assisting with medication administration under nurse supervision
* Assist with basic wound care, applying dressings, and reporting any changes to nursing staff
Therapy & Rehabilitation Assistance:
* Implement prescribed therapy plans including gentle exercises and mobility support
* Assist occupational therapists and physiotherapists during treatment sessions
* Support dementia care by implementing behaviour management strategies
Documentation & Reporting:
* Maintain accurate electronic and paper records of care provided
* Document changes in resident conditions, behaviours, or care needs
* Complete incident reports and risk assessments when required
Resident Wellbeing & Engagement:
* Provide emotional support through active listening and meaningful conversation
* Encourage resident participation in social activities and community programs
* Advocate for resident rights and preferences in all care decisions
Safety & Compliance:
* Follow infection control protocols including proper hand hygiene and PPE use
* Assist with manual handling using correct equipment and techniques
* Report maintenance issues, hazards, or near misses promptly
What They're Looking For:
* Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent
* 1+ years of full-time experience in aged care or disability support
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (issued within last 5 years) is preferable
* Current flu vaccination & COVID-19 immunisation
* Reliable transport
