Make a real impact in regional Queensland as a Senior Dentist with the North West Hospital and Health Service.
In this permanent full-time role, you will lead oral health services across fixed and mobile clinics, delivering high-quality clinical care while providing active leadership, mentoring and support to the dental team.
About The Role
As Senior Dentist, you'll provide advanced clinical care and hands-on leadership across NWHHS Oral Health Services.
You will support high-quality dental treatment for eligible patients, guide multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to service improvement across fixed and mobile facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver advanced general dental care, including outreach services and treatment under general anaesthetic.
Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and supervision to dentists, oral health therapists, dental assistants, students, and support staff.
Support recruitment, performance development, and professional growth of the oral health workforce.
Contribute to business planning, quality improvement, accreditation, and operational initiatives.
Promote culturally safe, inclusive, and ethical care aligned with Queensland Health frameworks.
Champion workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement across all service locations.
Working with us
Permanent full time multiple positions, 76 hours per fortnight
Base salary ranges between $158,532 - $170,285 per annum (DO2)
4 weeks p.a. recreational leave + 17.5% loading.
*****% employer superannuation contribution.
Rural and Remote incentive - Zone 3 - 32% allowance of base salary.
Accommodation assistance available as per policy: either 17 months at a Queensland Health facility or 17 months rental subsidy.

Requirements
Mandatory requirements are a tertiary degree qualification in Dentistry and current registration with the Dental Board of Australia (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency – AHPRA).
Extensive clinical experience preferred.
C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
A period of probation may apply.
