Warehouse Operator Job Description
This role involves working in a cold storage environment, operating electric ride-on pallet jacks to pick orders, wrapping and labeling them accurately, and staging completed orders for dispatch.
Additional responsibilities include transferring milk from crates into boxes for shipping, ensuring repackaged items meet quality and safety standards, and preparing products for delivery to mine sites and interstate locations.
Other key tasks involve removing crates from pallets, placing them on the wash line, identifying and separating damaged or broken crates, and maintaining cleanliness and safety around the crate wash area.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Previous warehouse experience is highly valued.
* A valid LF/LO forklift license or experience operating ride-on pallet jacks is preferred but not essential.
* Applicants should be physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg repeatedly.
* Comfortable working in chilled environments is a must.
* Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety and hygiene standards, ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, reliability, punctuality, and good communication skills are essential.
