The Service Department plays a crucial role in ensuring customers receive comprehensive support during equipment installation, commissioning, servicing, and ongoing maintenance.
Main Responsibilities include:
* Perform scheduled services on installed equipment at customer sites;
* Travel to customer locations as needed to diagnose and resolve technical issues causing downtime;
* Investigate and proactively address problems where machines are not operating at the required level;
* Carry out machine services and rebuilds in the workshop as necessary;
* Provide technical phone support to customers when onsite attendance is not feasible;
* Liaise with management on service-related matters within Australia;
* Attend machine-specific training courses as directed;
* Comply with local safety guidelines and identify risks while working on customer sites and offices.
Key Skills Required:
* A current Electrician's Licence or trade-qualified Fitter/Mechanic with a Restricted Electrical License;
* Experience in food industry packaging or processing equipment is advantageous;
* Mandatory electronics skills and knowledge of PLC-driven processes;
* Advanced knowledge of motor, servomotor, and drive technology is beneficial;
* Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings to a component level;
* Willingness to work weekends, travel at short notice, and adapt to flexible hours as required;
* Current Drivers License; and
* A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
