Equipment Service Support Specialist

Sandvik Mining is a global leader in delivering comprehensive equipment, tools, parts, services, and technical solutions tailored to the mining and infrastructure industries.

This role involves engaging with various tiers within the customer organization, aiming to enhance the functionality and reliability of equipment while being conscious of costs. As a representative of Sandvik, the role requires facilitating communication between Sandvik and the customer to deliver exceptional customer service and support.

The role also includes collaborating with the customer's Maintenance Management Team to improve the performance of Sandvik's equipment.

Roster options are available: 4 days on 3 days off, or 5 days on 2 days off.


About the Role

* Manage the daily requirements and engage the relevant departments to provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
* Develop direct customer relationships.
* Enhance existing Site Service by providing input into strategic plans for expansion.
* Facilitate coaching and mentoring of site technical staff.
* Assist in root cause failure analysis.
* Function as first line support for helpdesk issues & technical support in Sales Area.
* Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Bulletin Administration and Support.
* Assist Planning department in maintenance strategy development.
* Collect technical feedback and provide feedback to Product Masters/EQ Division Product line.


Key Responsibilities

* Customer Satisfaction: Manage daily requirements and engage relevant departments to provide high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Relationship Development: Develop direct customer relationships.
* Site Service Enhancement: Enhance existing Site Service by providing input into strategic plans for expansion.
* Tech Coaching: Facilitate coaching and mentoring of site technical staff.
* Failure Analysis: Assist in root cause failure analysis.
* Helpdesk Support: Function as first line support for helpdesk issues & technical support in Sales Area.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Bulletin Support: Bulletin Administration and Support.
* Maintenance Strategy: Assist Planning department in maintenance strategy development.
* Feedback Loop: Collect technical feedback and provide feedback to Product Masters/EQ Division Product line.


Requirements

* Heavy Duty Mechanical trade qualification as a minimum requirement.
* Current driver's license and ability to work away from home on a FIFO roster.
* Knowledge and experience with Sandvik equipment, as well as training and experience with maintenance and fault finding.
* High level of initiative, drive and determination to achieve goals and targets set for customer satisfaction.
* Computer Systems Literacy is essential.
* Understanding of Mine Health and Safety Regulations.
