We're looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance Team and help shape the future of Rugby League. If you're ready to make an impact in a fast-paced, purpose-led organisation, we want to hear from you.
In the role you will
* Process invoices, reimbursements, and payments accurately and on time, ensuring all required documentation and approvals are in place.
* Reconcile accounts payable transactions, prepare month‐end reports and accruals, and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
* Maintain compliance with financial policies, procedures, and audit requirements while keeping organised and accurate records.
* Manage vendor relationships by responding to payment enquiries, reconciling vendor accounts, and monitoring statements to resolve outstanding items.
* Support the broader Finance team with audits, reporting, and ad hoc finance tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
* Contribute to process improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and overall accounts payable performance
Ideally you will have
* Hold a qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or bring equivalent practical experience.
* Have 2-3 years' experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role, with confidence using accounting and ERP systems such as Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or MYOB.
* Demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to resolve invoice or vendor discrepancies efficiently.
* Bring solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
* Communicate clearly and professionally, building positive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
* Manage competing priorities effectively, staying organised and meeting deadlines in a fast‐paced environment.
* Uphold high standards of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial and vendor information, and work collaboratively within a team
