About the role
McConnell Dowell Constructors Aust. Pty Ltd are seeking a civil and structural Site Engineer interested in working on the Archer River Bridge project in Far North Queensland.
We understand your time is valuable and that working hours need to be fulfilling, with challenging yet meaningful work. That’s why we’re offering a 2 & 1 roster with 30% project allowances payable on base while working on roster.
As the Site Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating with Managers and Superintendents on Engineering, temporary works, scheduling and status of the project;
* Providing overall progress reports and other reports related to schedule and cost as required by the Project Manager;
* Raising eMPR’s and AFE’s for all responsible expenditure prior to committing. Raise internal variations for approval for all contracted works prior to works commencing. Review subcontractor progress claims to verify works completed;
* Provide general technical assistance to supervisory personnel;
* Prepare reports on progress, manpower and costs and coordinate the work scheduling and procurement.
About you
* Tertiary qualification in construction/civil/structural Engineering;
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in site engineering;
* Competent in planning and organising work schedules and a demonstrated ability to deliver to timelines;
* Sound working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same.
* Strong and clear communication skills with proven ability to engage others
* Have strong commitment to the safety promise of “Home Without Harm”
* Have valid working rights in Australia
