About the Role: As the HSEQ Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting project teams to maintain and improve health, safety, environment, and quality performance on a range of civil and building construction projects. You'll drive proactive safety culture, ensure compliance with legislative and client requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide practical HSEQ advice and guidance to site and project teams.
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
* Assist with incident investigations and corrective action close-outs.
* Maintain HSEQ management systems in line with ISO standards and industry best practice.
* Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions.
* Foster a positive and proactive safety culture across all levels of the business.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and subcontractors on HSEQ matters.
About You:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a HSEQ role within construction (civil or building).
* Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum); Diploma in WHS highly regarded.
* Sound knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and environmental obligations.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
* Practical, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to travel to project sites across Queensland as required.
