About Emergency Medicine
Griffith Base Hospital provides acute specialist services, including Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, and Paediatric Medicine.
The hospital operates with a range of medical staff working across varying shift times to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities
As an Emergency Medicine professional, your primary role will be to provide first-line medical care to patients presenting at the hospital, including assessment, investigation, treatment, and referral for ongoing non-inpatient care or admission/transfer for inpatient care and discharge of patients.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
* MBBS or equivalent registration with the Medical Board of Australia
* Demonstrated postgraduate experience relevant to Emergency Medicine, including at least six months experience at a non-junior level
* Competence in performing urgent procedures commonly undertaken in Emergency Departments
* Excellent team work, time management, organisation, and problem-solving skills
