About The Role
Reporting to the Warehouse/Operations team, the Storesperson is responsible for receipting and booking parts, stock management, picking sales orders and organising the delivery of parts, while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting timely order fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive, book in and put away stock accurately using the Warehouse Management System
* Pick, pack and prepare parts and equipment for dispatch, ensuring they are securely packed and ready for shipment
* Operate forklift and lifting equipment safely in accordance with procedures and manufacturer instructions
* Arrange transport for the collection and delivery of goods
* Maintain accurate stock records and control stock movements at all times
* Participate in annual stocktakes
* Ensure the stores area is clean, safe, well organised and efficiently utilised
* Support internal teams with parts and equipment requirements, including assisting with machinery movements for demonstrations or trials
* Comply with all health, safety and PPE requirements
* Undertake other reasonable duties as required
Qualifications and Experience
* Mandatory Forklift Licence
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a warehouse or stores environment
* Previous experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) (experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 highly regarded)
* Experience in packaging and freight/shipping processes
* Proven ability to organise and maintain stock accuracy
* Exposure to manufacturing environments (food and packaging industry preferred)
* Strong understanding of workplace health and safety in a warehouse setting
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication and customer service skills
