About the role:

The Learning Transformation Lead, will bring strategic thought leadership to building people capability at pace and scale in a dynamic, diverse environment. Building on the foundations in place, and the appetite we have to reimagine learning at Woolworths, this role will bring disruptive innovation with pragmatism, commerciality and contemporary thinking that builds clarity and advocacy for a new way of learning across the Group. Key to success will be the ability to transform the learning function to deliver greater impact at scale, bring a step-change in learner experiences for our 200,000 strong team, and help Woolworths build the skills we need today and for the future.

Key to the role is the ability to influence at a high level, leveraging experience and expertise and using data and storytelling to influence our stakeholders to adopt and try new learning strategies and initiatives. The role drives forward-thinking solutions that transform learning experiences.

With the initial focus on frontline teams, working collaboratively with cross functional teams and business leaders, this role will create and drive a compelling multi-horizon roadmap to transform learning to solve current pain points and set Woolworths up for a sustainable, scaleable, high impact learning capability that positions us to deliver on our strategy.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Using contemporary learning approaches, data, insights, and robust stakeholder engagement, develop a comprehensive learning transformation strategy aligned with the Group's Purpose and objectives.
* Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to build a sequenced roadmap, with clear outcomes/metrics, thoughtful sequencing and investment choices to enable strategy activation.
* Influence strategic outcomes and advocacy through building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Elevate organisational awareness of contemporary, impactful learning approaches and constructively challenge the status quo, bringing industry trends, best practice and creative solutions to build greater awareness and appetite for doing learning differently.
* Partner closely with functional leads to identify implications of the Learning Transformation for operating model and capability and provide support to ensure success
* Evaluate existing learning platforms and methodologies, recommending enhancements and improvements that can solve immediate pain points whilst also progressing us towards a reimagined learning offer.
* Identify ways to optimise current state learning through existing technology and programs (e.g. SAP Successfactors our mobile frontline platforms) to deliver quick wins.
* Evaluate and identify gaps in current technology/technology roadmap that will limit delivery of the future strategy. Partner with the People Solutions team to make recommendations to close gaps and contribute to business case development.
* Partner with cross functional teams to lead the exploration and implementation of AI-driven solutions to enhance learning effectiveness and efficiency
* Identify and build solutions to address systemic barriers that prevent adoption and effectiveness of learning and proactively identify risks to achieving the learning ambition, including change management approaches.
* Build guiding frameworks and tools that enable successful deployment of the strategy into BAU delivery
* The initial focus will be on Frontline Learning but this role will be responsible for building out the plan to extend the ambition to support teams across the group.
About you:
* Deep expertise in People Capability Development/ L&
* Experience in successfully leading complex business/culture transformations
* The ability to think systematically and execute pragmatically to deliver value in the short and long term
* Strong track record in leading large scale learning transformations (desirable)
* Experience working in Agile (desirable)
* OD background (desirable)
* Experience in designing and implementing strategic programs with frontline teams in Retail, FMCG or fast paced environment (desirable)
