Currently we have fantastic opportunity available for a loadingposition at our Ballarat plant. Monday to Friday. Start Time 10:00am to 6pm + Overtime
Role and Responsibilities
* Optimize loading area to enable efficient loading.
* Ensure that all loading / un‑loading tasks are conducted in a safe manner.
* Ensure that loaded goods are safely placed and secured in a safe manner.
* Assist other loading personnel as required.
* Cooperate with Transport Manager, Loading Supervisor and the OH&S department in compliance with, and the addressing of OH&S issues.
* Ensure compliance with all operational procedures.
* Assist Load Scanning IT initiatives.
* Conduct a reasonable amount of overtime if required.
* Other duties that are reasonably required by management.
* Safe use of overhead cranes and forklifts.
* Pick and Pack Shed Orders.
Job is physically demanding and requires a high level of manual handling, including repetitive handling of weights up to 20 kg and frequent boarding and alighting from forklifts.
Skills and Attributes
* Ability to take instructions.
* Intermediate level of alpha and numeric skills.
* Ability to work within a team environment.
* Good organizational skills.
* Product Knowledge (Preferred but not essential, training will be provided).
* Able to work independently.
* Ability to safely and competently operate overhead gantry crane.
* Ability to safely and competently operate forklift (License essential).
* Forklift license is required and experience in loading metal products would be an advantage.
