Regional Sales Manager (NSW & ACT)

The Role
We're looking for a Regional Sales Manager (NSW & ACT) who will be responsible for leading the Motors sales strategy, execution, and team performance across their designated state.
This role drives growth, strengthens dealer partnerships, and elevates the commercial presence of Autotrader, CarsGuide, and Gumtree in market.
The Regional Sales Manager will lead a high-performing sales team, develop regional sales plans aligned to the National Motors Strategy, and ensure dealers receive exceptional service, education, and insights that deliver sustainable return on investment and position Gumtree Group as the preferred automotive marketplace partner.
What You'll Do
Own and deliver regional revenue growth, market share, and KPI targets across acquisition, retention, upgrades, and product adoption
Develop and execute quarterly and annual regional sales plans, including segmentation, visitation cadence, and territory roadmaps
Identify and convert new business opportunities, expanding dealer penetration across priority market segments and OEM groups
Lead disciplined pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and sales execution using Salesforce and structured WIP rhythms
Build and maintain senior relationships with dealer principals, GMs, sales leaders, and OEM stakeholders, acting as the primary escalation point for key accounts
Drive consistent dealer value through performance insights, reporting, ROI storytelling, education, and optimisation of Autotrader Group products
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Account Managers/KAMs through in-field coaching, weekly check-ins, and capability uplift
Foster a high-trust, high-accountability culture, addressing performance issues promptly while supporting career development and succession planning
Provide data-led market insights on dealer performance, inventory, conversion trends, and competitive activity to inform regional and national strategy
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Advertising, Data, and Operations to ensure strong regional execution of national priorities and product launches
What You'll Bring
7-10 years of experience in sales or commercial leadership, ideally within automotive, digital marketplaces, media, or SaaS environments
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop established sales teams to consistently deliver revenue and growth outcomes
Well-developed commercial judgement, including pricing strategy, revenue levers, portfolio management, and CRM discipline (e.g. Salesforce or equivalent)
Solid understanding of dealer operations, marketplace dynamics, and digital performance metrics
Customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to supporting motor dealers and delivering sustainable return on investment.
Confident communicator and influencer, effective across face-to-face, virtual, and executive forums, with sound negotiation capability
Analytical and adaptable approach, using data to inform decisions, solve complex problems, and operate effectively in fast-paced, changing environments
