Development Team Lead within the Computershare Communication Services (CCS) Technology team in Melbourne.
A role you will love
As the Development Team Lead, reporting to the CIO - Communication Services, you will leverage your technical leadership to oversee requirements management, design, and development of a diverse portfolio of applications and supporting frameworks that empower the CCS business globally.
In this role, you will provide clear direction by engaging with the CCS demand and delivery management process. You will create and implement application roadmaps aligned with our technology and business strategy, detailing upcoming feature deliveries and timelines.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a software delivery team to the successful delivery of value to our customers
- Oversee complex multi-application projects from requirements gathering through design and development
- Address regulatory, risk, and security concerns to ensure smooth project execution
- Ensure compliance with the Software Development Life Cycle, focusing on quality and efficient processes
- Manage 3rd and 4th level support requests with transparency and accountability
- Set clear objectives for the team through effective goal setting and provide regular feedback and coaching
- Foster an environment of growth by facilitating discussions around career and career development for team members
- Promote knowledge sharing and mobility to enhance skills and broaden the team's expertise
- Proactively assess future talent needs to ensure the team has the right skills to achieve business goals
- Deliver value to stakeholders by incorporating technology input on project requests and prioritizing technical demand, while keeping them informed of new features and inviting their design input
- Understand the business serviced by our applications and foster effective IT service through collaboration between business units and technology
- Assist in budget preparation and oversee resource management for effective expenditure control
What will you bring to the role?
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Developer/Team Lead working within a delivery team environment
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Information Technology or related discipline
- Significant experience in enterprise application development across the development lifecycle
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including international clients
- Excellent people management and leadership skills including technical mentoring of software development staff
- Excellent analytical and research skills with the ability to collect and analyse complex material and data, and present it in accessible formats
- Proven ability to successfully gather requirements and get results with minimal supervision
Desired experience
- Knowledge of Communications industries and markets is highly regarded
- Previous experience working in and supporting global business units with in-house solutions
- Previous experience working on large system implementation projects
- Experience in using agile methodologies
