Ambrose Construct Group is one of Australia's largest Insurance Repairers and requires the services of a Power BI Developer to join our growing and dynamic IT Department in delivering IT Software Customisation to the business.
*Main Responsibilities:*
* Learn and fully understand the data landscape in databases and applications
* Use and develop data collection processes
* Review and validate data
* Develop data quality and cleaning processes
* Gather end user reporting and dashboard requirements
* Develop dashboards and creating reports and supporting users with them
* Develop tools to aid in data analysis
* Communicate insights to senior management and across the organisation
* Identify opportunities for improvement, spot trends, as well as recognise potential issues and offer solutions
* Improve efficiency, increasing productivity, and driving profits for the business
* Oversee the deployment of data to the data warehouse
* Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data
* Create or discover new data procurement and processing programs
* Cooperate with our IT department to deploy software and hardware upgrades that make it possible for us to develop Machine Learning products
* Monitor analytics and metrics results
* Implement new data analysis methodologies
* Perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies
Skills & Experience:
* IT diploma or Computer Science degree
* 3 + years' experience working with Business Intelligence platforms
* Experience working with Microsoft Power BI – highly regarded
* Proficiency in DAX and/or SQL
* Ability to collaborate with the team, or work autonomously, depending on the project
* Ability to multi-task, or re-prioritise projects for development as business and industry priorities shift
