Overview

The Cost Controller oversees cost management for assigned projects, ensuring budgets are accurate, controlled, and aligned with program delivery. The role tracks and analyses costs, supports forecasting, and provides clear financial insights to guide decision making. Working closely with Project Managers, Control Account Managers, Supply Chain, Finance, Production, and Engineering, the Cost Controller monitors performance, identifies risks, resolves issues, and ensures strong adherence to the Cost Control Framework and Earned Value principles.

What's InvolvedBudget Management
* Support budget planning, forecasting, and tracking across projects
* Analyse costs, highlight risks and opportunities, and recommend improvements
* Prepare budget reports and maintain clear, accurate communication with stakeholders
Forecast Cost
* Support the accurate forecasting of future costs
* Collaborate with Project Managers and Finance to maintain budget alignment with financial objectives
Framework, Process, Improvement and Compliance
* Follow established cost control processes and maintain compliance with policies
* Support continuous improvement and promote strong cost management practices
* Stay informed on best practices to help lift standards across the program
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
* Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Project/Program Management, and Operations to ensure integrated cost control
* Serve as a key point of contact for cost control matters on assigned projects or programs
You'll Need
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field
* 2 to 5 years of experience in a cost control, project controls, or financial analysis role within a project or program delivery environment
* Sound knowledge of cost management principles, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Experience applying cost control processes and procedures, preferably in an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) environment
