3 year, full time, fixed term opportunity Exciting opportunity to lead evaluation and strategic planning, guiding senior leaders and aligning priorities with institutional strategy Offering a competitive remuneration package including 17% superannuation About the opportunity As the Director, Strategy and Evaluation, you will provide expert guidance to the Professor, Student Success and the Education Portfolio Executive Committee, driving alignment of institution-wide strategy development and planning. You will effectively communicate the Portfolio’s strategic priorities to senior stakeholders across the institution. Leading the design and delivery of program evaluation and monitoring activities, you will shape initiatives that reflect institutional values and strategy, while developing the institution’s evaluation capability. Your key responsibilities will be to: work within a dynamic team, reporting to the Professor, Student Success effectively communicate the Education Portfolio’s strategic vision and objectives to senior stakeholder groups, influencing and enabling institutional alignment act as a cohesive link between the Education Portfolio and Strategy Portfolio in relation to strategic planning build strong relationships and collaborate with portfolios, faculties and schools to support aligned strategic planning processes, working in close partnership as required lead the planning, development and delivery of the Education Portfolio’s program monitoring and evaluation activities, in alignment with institutional values, strategic priorities and the University’s agreed approach to evaluation collaborate with the Portfolio Delivery and Enablement team to embed high-quality monitoring and evaluation approaches in project and program design and implementation planning effectively manage resources and budget to deliver high-quality, timely and clearly communicated evaluation outcomes that can inform future strategy development and strategic planning develop the University’s program monitoring and evaluation capability and capacity, including identifying appropriate skill mixes to support multiple and mixed evaluation methods. About you tertiary qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience in a related field senior leadership experience in large, complex organisations with deep knowledge of the higher education sector proven ability to lead strategic projects and deliver high-quality service in multi-stakeholder environments strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risks, benefits and opportunities effectively exceptional relationship-building, negotiation and influencing skills with senior internal and external stakeholders strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and sound decision-making excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills with strong organisational capability.
