To support our continued growth and evolution, we are looking for an experienced and values‐led Group Head of Cybersecurity, IT Governance & Risk to provide strategic leadership across cybersecurity, IT governance, and risk and compliance for all nib Group businesses.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Group Cybersecurity, IT Governance & Risk function, providing strong second line assurance and independent challenge
* Define and execute Group‐wide cybersecurity, IT governance, risk, and compliance strategy
* Partner with executives, technology leaders, and business units to enable informed, risk based decisions
* Act as a trusted advisor on cyber risk, regulatory obligations, and security posture
* Oversee security operations, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and identity & access management
* Lead cyber incident preparedness, response, investigation, and Board level reporting
* Govern third‐party, supply chain, data protection, and privacy risk across the Group
* Own cybersecurity, IT governance, and data security policies aligned to regulatory and industry standards
* Drive cyber awareness, training, and a strong culture of shared accountability
* Report cyber risk posture, emerging threats, and trends to Executives and the Board while managing budget and delivery outcomes
About you
You are a seasoned cybersecurity leader with a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to influence at the highest levels.
Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualifications are expected, alongside professional certifications (such as ISC2, ISACA, GIAC, ISO or similar)
* Proven experience in senior cybersecurity, IT risk or CISO roles within complex organisations
* Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory standards and Australian compliance requirements
* Experience leading security operations, audits and regulatory engagements
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise executives and Boards
* A pragmatic, risk based approach that balances security, innovation and business outcomes
* Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire, develop and grow high performing teams
