About the Role
The Project Officer is a core member of the Project Capability Team within Digital Health & Innovation (DH&I), supporting the structured delivery of projects across Sydney Local Health District.
This role ensures a consistent and disciplined approach to project management standards across multiple initiatives. Working closely with clinical, non-clinical and technical stakeholders, the Project Officer provides high-quality project coordination, documentation and lifecycle support from project initiation through to implementation and transition.
Reporting to the Team Lead, Project Capability Team, the position contributes to the effective planning, monitoring and evaluation of projects to support safe, timely and efficient health service delivery. The role operates within a structured governance environment focused on risk management, stakeholder engagement and delivery accountability.

Ideal Candidate
* Tertiary qualifications in health sciences or equivalent experience in a complex health facility.
* Relevant qualifications in project and/or program management or demonstrated professional experience in project delivery.
* Skills in managing significant complex projects concurrently, with varying timeframes and workloads in a high volume work environment and provide high level advice.
* Experience working within a public health or digital health environment.
* Formal project or programme management certifications (e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, ITIL or equivalent).
* Experience supporting risk, issue and financial monitoring processes within a project lifecycle.
