Senior Contracts Administrator / Contracts Administrator
We are currently seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator and Contracts Administrator to work on our major renewable energy project in the Karratha region. This role plays a key part in Western Australia's energy transition, providing the opportunity to be part of a high‐profile, complex and remote project.
You will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of all project‐related commercial and contractual matters. This includes the day‐to‐day administration of the head contract and any subcontract agreements placed on the project.
Key working conditions:
* 2:1 FIFO roster from WA
* End‐to‐end project exposure from early works through to commissioning
* Permanent full‐time positions
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the development of management plans in accordance with head contract requirements.
* Develop commercial and risk management strategies, plans, process flowcharts and pro‐formas for the accurate management of DTI's rights and entitlements under the head contract.
* Work with project scheduling resources to ensure the baseline schedule is developed and approved in line with head contract programming requirements.
* Provide commercial leadership and advice to project team members on site issues, disputes and other contractual matters.
* Develop and implement commercial strategies that support the Project Manager in negotiations with the client.
* Implement DTI standard subcontracts and supply orders for the placement of all subcontracts and materials on the project.
* Manage subcontractor progress claim certificates to ensure they comply with subcontract terms and relevant Security of Payment legislation.
* Provide commercial leadership in the management and resolution of any disputes that arise with subcontractors and suppliers.
To be successful
* Bachelor of Business, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or recognised prior industry learning suitable for the role.
* Preferably a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Contracts Administrator, Senior Contracts Administration or Quantity Surveyor position within a site‐based project delivery role.
* Proven experience in the preparation of contract agreements.
* Excellent working knowledge of Australian or New Zealand construction contracts.
* Sound working knowledge of risk management principles and their application.
