CNC MACHINIST – SWISS SLIDING HEAD – 4 DAY WEEK
Overview
Permanent full‑time role based in Braeside, Australia for a successful engineering company specialising in high‑precision components for oil & gas, transport, mining and other industries.
* 4‑day week, day shift
* Successful Australian‑owned company
* Sliding Head / Swiss‑Type CNC machining
* Fanuc controls – small batch work (50–100 components)
* REF NUMBER – 1479
Responsibilities
* Set, operate and program Sliding Head / Swiss‑Type CNC lathes (Star, Citizen, Tornos, etc.)
* Perform small batch runs using Fanuc controls
* Read and interpret engineering drawings
* Maintain high attention to detail and quality throughout production
* Collaborate effectively within a team environment
Qualifications
* Trade background as a CNC Machinist or similar
* Strong experience with Sliding Head/SWISS‑type CNC lathes
* Proficient in programming, setting up and operating Fanuc‑based machines
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* High attention to detail and quality orientation
* Reliable with teamwork skills
