Spectrum seeks to hire a Sales Representative who will be responsible for selling products and services to customers in assigned non-bulk multi-dwelling units (MDU) areas/properties with 20+ doors through door-to-door solicitation, lobby events, and by building strong relationships with property managers.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
* Support customer experience enhancement efforts.
* Achieve monthly sales goals and increase sales volume through assigned leads and properties.
* Solicit residential customers through door-to-door visits, lobby events, and relationship-building with property management.
* Generate additional revenue from existing customers by adding new services.
* Respond to customer complaints according to company policy and ensure issues are resolved.
* Maintain knowledge of competitors' activities in the assigned territory and inform manager of any changes.
* Attend and contribute to sales meetings and training programs.
* Complete necessary paperwork for sales activities in accordance with quality control guidelines.
* Collect funds and provide receipts according to Company policy.
Required Qualifications
* Cold call sales skills, persuasion, and clear communication skills.
* Ability to travel to and from assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle.
* Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
* Familiarity with computer systems and consumer communications devices.
* Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
Experience and Qualifications
0-6 months of experience in sales or customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of communications technologies and data networking fundamentals.
* Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services.
* Experience educating consumers about products and services.
* Success in previous sales positions or cold calling.
Working Conditions
* 80% time spent in outside environment with potential exposure to inclement weather.
* Lifting 10-20 pounds for extended periods.
* Exposure to moderate noise levels.
* Variable hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
