Business Development Manager

Position Overview
We’re looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help expand their customer base and strengthen their presence in global freight forwarding. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, competitive workplace.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of leads and prospective new business customers.
- Conduct research to identify emerging customer needs and market trends.
- Arrange and lead business meetings with prospective clients.
- Promote the company’s services while addressing or anticipating clients’ objectives.
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to legal and company guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, revenue, and invoices.
- Provide reliable feedback and after‑sales support.
- Build and nurture long‑term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Be the driving force in expanding new business opportunities across freight, transport, logistics, and warehousing.
Qualifications
- 2‑3+ years of experience in sales or business development within the freight forwarding or logistics sector.
- Strong understanding of international trade, customs regulations, and freight forwarding operations.
- Experience using CargoWise is highly regarded.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce / HubSpot).
- Communication, negotiation and time‑management skills.
- Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.

Base Pay Range
A$110,000.00/yr - A$120,000.00/yr
