 
        
        Overview 
Role: Quantity Surveyor. Location: Hybrid/Field-Based (minimum 2 days in office – Northampton). Salary: £35,000 – £65,000 (dependent on experience). Working Hours: 8:00–17:00 / 9:00–18:00 (occasional Saturdays). 
This is a hybrid/field-based role within the social housing and domestic property sector, with regular office presence in Northampton. 
Responsibilities 
Prepare accurate estimates for social housing and domestic property projects. 
Produce valuations in line with contractual requirements. 
Generate and maintain weekly and monthly cost reports. 
Oversee and manage subcontractor accounts and relationships. 
Work with Schedules of Rates (SOR) to ensure compliance and accuracy. 
Support project teams with commercial guidance and reporting. 
Experience & Skills Required 
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within social housing and domestic property sectors. 
Robust knowledge and experience of SOR. 
Demonstrable experience producing estimates and valuations. 
Competent in preparing cost reports and dealing with subcontractors. 
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. 
Qualifications 
BSc in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (preferred). 
Professional membership such as RICS or MCIOB (desirable).
