**The Role**:
Lindsay Rural is opening a new branch in Donnybrook and is looking for an experienced and qualified Agronomist to successful expand our operations across the region.
This is a very exciting opportunity of a start-up in which you can make your own; you will be backed and supported by the well known and established network on the East Coast.
Lindsay Rural is a true independent who develop long term partnerships with our customers, we anticipate their needs and provide win/win solutions for their individual operations.
The role of Sales Agronomist is responsible for promoting and recommending products and services by providing on farm agronomic advice in relations to horticultural vegetable and irrigated cropping for our key accounts.
**Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to**:
- Proactively market the company, products, and services by calling on targeted customers to discuss their requirements, assist in planning customer farm inputs and maximise sales opportunities.
- Actively develop and maintain strong working relationships with current and future customers, vendor companies and their representatives.
- Provide analytical services including soil and plant tissue tests, and crop checking.
- Keep current on agronomic products, trends and services.
- Relay competitive sales, pricing and marketing information to management.
- Organise and attend grower meetings, field days, farm walks, displays and exhibitions.
**About You**:
To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:
- A tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture or related field is desirable.
- Agsafe Accreditation (highly desirable).
- Established sales agronomy experienced ideally within the WA region.
- Exceptional customer service & interpersonal skills with the ability to seek sales opportunities.
- A highly motivated, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
- High level reasoning, problem solving and planning skills.
- Ability to manage your own time, meet deadlines and take responsibility for your output and the quality of your work.
