Key Responsibilities
The Head of Primary School is a pivotal leadership role that requires strong, visionary leadership across the Primary School to advance the College's mission of academic excellence, spiritual growth, and community wellbeing.
Candidates will be responsible for:
* Providing clear accountability and strategic direction aligned with the College's Christian ethos.
* Recruiting, managing, and developing primary school teaching and support staff.
* Monitoring student progress, wellbeing, and behavior.
* Managing key R-6 school events such as graduation ceremonies, parent-teacher nights, sports days, and special celebrations.
* Leading spiritual formation within the Primary School through devotions, chapel services, and collaboration with chaplaincy staff.
Essential Criteria
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
* A sincere and active faith in Jesus Christ, demonstrated through involvement in a local church community.
* A strong passion for Christian education, with a commitment to integrating a biblical worldview into curriculum, pedagogy, and professional relationships.
* Registered teacher with at least five years of classroom teaching experience.
* Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RHHAN-EC) certificate.
* Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance.
* Valid Teachers Registration in South Australia (SA).
Desirable Attributes
Candidates with the following attributes will be highly regarded:
* At least two years of leadership experience within an educational setting.
* Postgraduate qualifications in education, leadership, or a related field, or a demonstrated commitment to ongoing postgraduate study.
* Previous experience teaching in a Christian environment.
