This role offers a unique opportunity to kickstart a career in workplace health and safety. As a Trainee WHS, you will be studying a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, which is estimated to take up to 18 months to complete.

As a member of our WHS team, you will support the team in providing advice and assistance to ensure that the organisation understands its legislative responsibilities regarding WHS.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Providing WHS advice and assistance to the team

2. Supporting the team in understanding legislative responsibilities regarding WHS
\
3. Contributing to the development of WHS policies and procedures
\
4. Assisting in the implementation of WHS initiatives and programs
\
5. Reporting to the Coordinator WHS

6. Collaborating with other teams to achieve WHS goals
\\
7. Monitoring and reporting on WHS metrics and data
\
8. Developing and implementing WHS training programs
\
9. Conducting WHS audits and risk assessments
\
10. Identifying and mitigating WHS hazards and risks
\
11. Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and regulations
\
12. Communicating WHS information to stakeholders
\
13. Building relationships with external stakeholders to promote WHS best practices
\
14. Staying up-to-date with WHS developments and trends
\
15. Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance WHS skills and knowledge
\
16. Collaborating with other departments to achieve organisational goals

17. Representing the organisation at WHS-related events and meetings
\
Key Requirements:

18. Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent)
\
19. Relevant work experience in WHS (desirable)

20. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
