Blackwater Hospital is a vital 16-bed facility located 200km west of the coast, serving as a hub for acute care, 24/7 emergency, and aged care. We operate as a connected interdisciplinary team, supported by visiting allied health and specialist psychiatric services. Our mission is to ensure Central Queenslanders are among the healthiest in the world through Amazing Care and Healthy Communities.
About the role
* Lead clinical practice coordination at an advanced level, providing expert support to nursing and medical staff.
* Manage complex clinical situations using specialized nursing knowledge and evidence‐based practice.
* Mentor the next generation of nurses through clinical supervision and performance appraisal.
* Drive quality and safety by facilitating audits, incident reporting, and the development of clinical protocols.
* Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to manage resources and implement strategic models of care.
About you
* You are a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
* You bring recent experience in an acute setting, with emergency and ALS skills being highly regarded.
* You possess advanced clinical problem‐solving skills and a high level of interpersonal communication.
* You are a natural leader capable of role‐modelling holistic, patient‐centred care.
* You value continuous learning and are eager to facilitate education for staff and the community.
* You are committed to professional and ethical standards of practice at an advanced level.
What we offer
Total remuneration value of up to $114,405 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $56.08 - $60.06 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
* 17.5% leave loading
