Event Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Event Safety Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of event safety services, including water safety and operational support.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in medical, lifeguarding or similar public safety roles, with a strong ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a cohesive team environment.


About the Role

This is a full-time position based remotely, working within allocated contracts to ensure team professionalism, compliance and community safety.

The Event Safety Manager will oversee lifeguard operations, manage equipment and assist in recruitment, rostering and asset management.

Daily extensive travel to beach locations may be required, with opportunities to participate as a lifeguard during operational periods.

* Key Responsibilities:
* Support operational delivery of event safety and water safety services.
* Manage equipment, scheduling replacements/repairs and overseeing maintenance.
* Assist in recruitment, rostering and asset management.
* Prepare event safety plans and documentation.
* Ensure all staff complete required inductions.
* Supervise equipment maintenance and coordinate replacements/repairs.
* Operate as lifeguard or event staff during peak periods as needed.

This role requires a commitment to ethical practices, WHS, Positive Duty, Child Safety, EEO, and anti-discrimination. A current relevant SLSA Awards qualification is also essential.


Requirements

* Substantial experience in medical, lifeguarding or similar public safety roles.
* Ability and willingness to work as a lifeguard during operational periods.
* Proven ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a cohesive team environment.
* Well-developed analytical and conceptual planning skills.
* Strong organizational and administrative skills.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database management.
* Unrestricted Motor Vehicle License with confidence in towing.
