About the Company/Role: Our client is an Australian technology company focused on the commercialisation of innovative laser enrichment technologies for applications including Uranium enrichment, Silicon enrichment and medical isotope enrichment. The Electronics Technician is responsible for hands-on electrical technician and assembly work. They will also support with lab maintenance and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical construction of control panels.
- Wiring of control panels according to prepared designs and diagrams.
- Installation and connection of control cabinets and process equipment.
- Field wiring for sensors, actuators and other control equipment.
- Commissioning of diagnostics and process control systems.
- Evaluation and documentation of control systems performance.
- Support the development of electronic subsystems for prototyping and production.
- Assist with procurement of process control and laboratory equipment.
- Maintain documentation on electronic equipment and installations.
Skills & Experience
- Diploma in electronics engineering or related discipline
- Australian Citizenship required
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience with schematic drawings and wiring diagrams
- Extensive manual fabrication and assembly experience
- Experience with circuit board soldering and cable assembly
- Experience in wiring control panels, production equipment and associated infrastructure
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a cooperative working style
