About the role:
Role Summary:
The Warehouse Operations Support is a vital role within VanHomes production operations, focused on ensuring the smooth functioning of the warehouse through hands-on tasks. This role involves receiving and inspecting materials, managing stock, supplying production lines, and maintaining warehouse standards, while adhering to safety and quality protocols. By supporting timely material availability and operational efficiency, the Warehouse Operations Support contributes to VanHomes reputation as Australia's leading relocatable home manufacturer, assisting the Procurement Supervisor in achieving production goals.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Receive and inspect materials and components delivered to the warehouse
* Accurately record incoming stock and allocate to appropriate storage locations
* Pick, prepare, and supply materials and components to the production line as required
* Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely availability of materials
* Conduct inventory checks and maintain accurate stock records
* Perform forklift operations for loading, unloading trucks, and moving pallets if licensed
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of storage areas to support company warehouse standards
* Monitor stock levels and notify the Procurement Supervisor of low or critical stock items
* Assist with packaging and labelling where required
* Handle and store materials in compliance with safety and handling requirements, including hazardous goods
* Complete all relevant documentation and stock movement records accurately
* Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and report any hazards or near misses
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and 5S warehouse practices
* Support regular stocktakes, audits, and quality inspections as needed
Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with WHS policies, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of materials
* Report hazards or near misses to the Procurement Supervisor
* Follow safe work practices to maintain a zero-incident workplace
* Assist in documenting safety-related incidents as directed
What We Are Looking For:
Essential:
* Previous experience in a manufacturing warehouse or similar industrial environment
* Good understanding of material flow in a production setting
* Forklift licence
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
* Physically fit and able to handle repetitive tasks and manual lifting
Desirable:
* Basic mechanical aptitude or understanding of manufacturing processes
* Knowledge of WHS regulations and safe manual handling practices
