About the role
The Procurement and Contract Management team is responsible for delivering high-quality operational support to senior leaders, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and established frameworks.
The Procurement Advisor works within this team and is responsible for carrying out day-to-day procurement activities, providing accurate and timely advice on procurement and contract-related matters.
The role involves supporting the team in maintaining knowledge of applicable Commonwealth procurement legislation and policy procedures, ensuring records are accurately maintained and coordinating activities.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide quality procurement and contracting advice in line with established frameworks and relevant legislation.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of procurement management and reporting tools, including databases and financial systems.
* Draft contracts and procurement documentation, such as approach to market documents and evaluation reports.
* Collate data from various sources to inform assurance activities and reporting obligations.
Required skills and qualifications:
Certificate IV in Procurement and Contract Management or progress towards qualification is desirable.
