The Role
We are currently seeking aMulti-Combination (MC) Driverto join our Procurement, Asset and Logistics Team at our Newman Depot in the Western Australian Pilbara region. This role is offered a fly-in, fly-out from Perth on a 10:9 roster engaged on an ongoing casual basis.
The Procurement, Asset and Logistics team are critical to ensuring our client and all our on-site personnel have the right equipment and supplies to support ongoing work activities in the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate various multi combination (MC) or heavy vehicles, including prime movers, and truck and trailer combinations
* Safely load and transport various materials, including minerals, ores and equipment, from operational sites to destinations or vice versa
* Ensure the safe and efficient transportation of contractor assets to sites and facilities
* Communicate with supervisors, team members and other stakeholders to coordinate schedules, address concerns and ensure operations are conducted efficiently
* Aim for continuous improvement by collaborating with required stakeholders, transport and asset teams, and the broader business
* Comply with safety and environmental standards and regulations, including waste management and spill response protocols
* Adhere to all relevant road safety regulations in line our vehicle safety policies
* Provide accurate transportation records including working times, breaks and non-work time in line with company vehicle and journey management plans
* Report incidents, accidents, or near misses in line with safety policies and procedures
* Ensure company vehicles are maintained and kept in best possible condition
* Prepare delivery receipts and other relevant documentation where required

About You
* Full Australian Working Rights
* Construction White Card
* Australian Drivers Licence (MC Class)
* Heavy Vehicle accreditation
* Vehicle Loading Crane Ticket
* Experience driving heavy vehicles and multi combination vehicles, trailer, and trucks
* Previous experience operating a side loader or swing-lift to load and transfer with 20ft and 40ft containers to trailers
* Strong communication skills, work ethic and a positive attitude
* Possess a mechanical aptitude with problem solving abilities
