**The Opportunity**:
Three newly created positions are available for Mechanical Technicians to join our Waste to Energy Treatment Plant team based in East Rockingham 6168. The position will report to the Mechanical Team Leader and will be responsible for the completion of equipment repairs and maintenance to a high standard and to ensure the plant and utilities operate achieving safe, reliable operation within approved budgets.

**What you'll be responsible for**:
- Demonstrate understanding and compliance within the Company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
- Complete planned and breakdown maintenance on plant and apparatus including, but not limited to steam turbines, Boilers, pumps, fans, hydraulic systems, valve and piping systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical components to determine causes of failures when required, including gathering of failure evidence for later analysis.
- Ensure all work orders are completed properly to a consistent high quality in the CMMS.
- Propose and develop modifications to plant /apparatus as appropriate.
- Provide supervisory coverage, during shutdowns, periods of increased manning levels or leave support for Mechanical Team Leader.
- Maintain the workshop and other work areas in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
- Carry out other reasonable tasks and duties as requested by management.
- Be available to be called in during emergency situations and plant breakdowns when necessary.
**What you'll need to be successful**:
- 3 or 4 Trade Technician Certificate
- WA (C) Class Drivers Licence.
- Knowledge of Boiler & Steam Turbine Generator plant, piping systems and rotating equipment (or like complexity equipment).
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of current WHS legislation and safe working systems.
- Proven experience working with a CMMS system.
- High risk licences such as EWP / Forklift / Rigging.
- Construction White Card.
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and medical check relevant to the role.
