The Road Safety Officer is a joint-funded Council and Transport for NSW opportunity aimed to develop & deliver community road safety initiatives & projects. Using the Safe System Approach, the incumbent addresses behavioural issues of all road users, in support of the NSW Government's Road Safety Action Plan ****.
In this role you will network with a variety of internal and external stakeholders in developing and implementing road safety initiatives, with external liaisons include community groups, NSW Police and local businesses among others.
Our ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and networking skills, hold a relevant degree & demonstrate their passion for improving road safety.
This role comes with the flexibility of working from any Council office in our region (Harden, Boorowa, Young).
