CS Energy is seeking a Chief Energy Transition Officer (CETO) to lead the development and execution of the company's renewable and firming energy portfolio, helping shape Queensland's energy future and driving long-term sustainability.
CS Energy generates and sells electricity to commercial and industrial customers with a portfolio of traditional and renewable assets located across Queensland. As CETO, you will lead the Energy Transition Division, responsible for the development and commissioning of all solar, wind, hydro, gas and battery projects.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Queensland's energy landscape. You will oversee the full lifecycle of new energy projects from pipeline development to delivery, build strategic partnerships, and identify new investment opportunities. You will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of CS Energy's corporate strategy and corporate sustainability plan.
Reporting to the CEO and as part of the Executive Leadership Team, the CETO will lead a multidisciplinary team that brings vision into action, driving innovation, investment, and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a robust pipeline of new energy generation, storage, and firming projects.
Lead delivery of infrastructure and systems to support future energy projects.
Identify and commercialise new revenue streams and adjacent market opportunities.
Build and maintain investment partnerships with the private sector and agencies such as QIC.
Oversee corporate strategy and sustainability initiatives, including emissions reduction planning.
Develop investment-grade business cases for new projects for Board and Shareholder consideration.
Champion a high-performance, future-focused, and sustainable culture.
About You
You are a strategic and engaging executive with deep experience in the energy sector and a proven ability to lead complex commercial projects and infrastructure delivery. You bring insight into Australia's energy transition, regulatory frameworks, and investment environment and have the vision to drive innovation and growth.
You are experienced in major project development, commercial negotiations and deal origination and completion, and sustainability leadership. You think at system-level, are financially and analytically astute, and are passionate about delivering a positive legacy through decarbonisation and investment in future-focused energy.
Tertiary qualifications in business, engineering, law, or a related commercial discipline are essential. Experience in the energy sector and large-scale infrastructure delivery will ensure your success.
