The position is part time with flexibility for home based and in office work.
What you'll be doing
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as needed.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and accessible.
Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their queries and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
Assist with the coordination of surgical procedures, including liaising with hospital staff and securing necessary equipment and supplies.
Support the practice's administrative tasks, such as processing payments, managing inventory, and maintaining office organisation including emails.
Demonstrate a commitment to patient confidentiality and adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and protocols.
Prepare and edit patient letters for accuracy and distribute to key practitioners.
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a medical secretary or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, medical professionals, and colleagues in a warm and professional manner.
Proficient in the use of medical software, electronic medical records, and various office productivity tools.
A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
