Submit an expression of interest today. You could complete a Certificate III Engineering - Fabrication Trade qualification over 48 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with Zeal Futures and our host employers.
What you will do / Responsibilities
* Perform planned maintenance and repairs of fabrication equipment
* Mark out jobs, set up machines, prepare materials, tools and fixtures for the fabrication of large and diverse industrial equipment
* Assist in the welding, cutting and marking of fabrication sheets
* Apply fabrication, forming and shaping techniques
* Use a combination of hand and power tools
* Work with qualified tradesmen in a workshop environment
What you'll bring to the table / Qualifications
* Commitment to both on and off the job training
* Willingness to learn and enthusiasm towards the apprenticeship and learning opportunity
* Genuine interest in the Fabrication trade
* Ability to work in small or large groups
* Good, clear communication skills, both verbal and written
Mandatory requirements
* Current drivers licence, or close to obtaining
* WHS Construction Induction Card (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
* Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical, including audiometry, spirometry, drug and alcohol screening and functional capacity assessment
