About Cadia
Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is located about 25 km from Orange and 250 km west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold‐rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine, which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large‐scale underground mining method.
We acknowledge the Wiradjuri people, traditional custodians of the land surrounding Cadia, and proudly run an Indigenous Buddy Program to enrich the workplace experience for our Indigenous employees. Who We're Looking For
The position supports the Fleet Reliability team to identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives across the mobile plant fleet, with a focus on safe production and cost‐efficient ounce delivery.
The role ensures reliability activities are undertaken in accordance with site and industry standards and relevant codes of practice to address equipment performance and safety risks.
Key Responsibilities
* Actively contribute to improvements in safety culture and processes to ensure ongoing, practical improvements in safe work practices.
* Deliver continuous improvement through a structured defect elimination process which ensures the root causes of top reliability issues are comprehensively understood with suitable investigative techniques such as RCA, 5‐whys, and strip‐down reports that lead to elimination action plans that are executed and tracked for effectiveness.
* Administer and report key data to understand and communicate mobile asset availability and asset condition.
* Lead reliability programs to achieve availability targets with a focus on proactive maintenance and managed asset health within budget.
* Maintain and contribute to the Asset Condition Database, Loss Elimination Database and other systems to support effective reliability oversight of the Cadia mobile fleet.
* Review equipment health, including detailed analysis of conditioning monitoring data, and initiate maintenance strategies or changes to address emerging risks.
* Identify the bad actors and implement actions to improve asset health.
* Work with OEM and product support teams to identify and deliver on reliability improvements.
* Actively manage equipment performance threats and opportunities through structured regular reviews of plant performance, downtime, condition monitoring and equipment health indicators.
You Will Also Have
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a highly accomplished mobile fleet tradesperson.
* Strong data analysis skills.
* Proven track record of safety practices.
Additional Requirements
This is a residential role in Orange, NSW operating on a 5/2 or 5/2–4/3 work pattern. Candidates must have the right to work in Australia.
