Youth Development Specialist
We are seeking highly motivated professionals to join our Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) Program as Youth Development Specialists. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in assisting young people develop essential life skills, promoting positive behavior and social responsibility, and fostering a participatory environment where they can have a say in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the daily living needs of children and young people residing in our accommodation service, including household duties such as cleaning, shopping, and meal preparation as required.
Requirements:
* A Diploma of Youth Work, Community Services, or an equivalent qualification is mandatory for this position. For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants, lived experience and willingness to participate in training are considered essential qualifications.
* Demonstrated expertise in youth services, residential care, or supported accommodation.
* Strong knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, as well as awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
* Proven experience working therapeutically with children and young people who have experienced significant challenges and trauma.
