Offer description

About the role

As a Senior Mobile Banker, you will be responsible for creating meaningful financial outcomes for both new and existing customers by delivering personalised home lending solutions and broader banking support.

This role exists to build strong, long-term customer relationships while growing a high-quality lending portfolio through a combination of self-generated activity, referrals and network-supported leads.

You will take full ownership of the customer journey, managing complex lending needs end to end and ensuring customers are informed, supported and confident at every stage of the process.

Working in a highly autonomous and mobile environment, you will structure your time and locations around customer availability, travelling within your community to meet customers where it suits them.

Your success will be driven by your ability to proactively network, build your personal brand and generate new lending opportunities while retaining and deepening relationships with existing customers.

You will manage your own pipeline with discipline and care, progressing applications through each milestone, maintaining strong post‐settlement relationships and identifying both growth opportunities and retention risks within your portfolio.

Collaboration is central to this role.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders across Credit, Retail Loans Support, Operations Network Support, Loan Centre teams and branch colleagues to deliver seamless customer outcomes.

You will also play a leadership role within the network by sharing lending expertise, mentoring peers and contributing to capability uplift.

Alongside growth, you will maintain a strong focus on governance, quality and compliance, ensuring lending activity meets regulatory requirements, internal policies and accreditation standards while minimizing errors and protecting customer trust.

About you

You are an experienced mobile or home lending professional with a well‐established customer base and a proven ability to manage complex lending scenarios, including self‐employed lending.

You bring advanced credit assessment capability, strong commercial judgement and a track record of delivering high‐quality customer experiences that drive advocacy and repeat business.

You understand market and competitor dynamics and apply sound business development principles to grow your portfolio sustainably.

Customer outcomes matter deeply to you.

You prepare thoroughly for every interaction, keep customers at the centre of your decisions and proactively identify ways to help them achieve their financial goals, both now and in the future.

You communicate with confidence and clarity, build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and take personal accountability for resolving complex issues and complaints.

You are a collaborative team member and an informal leader who enjoys sharing knowledge, mentoring others and contributing to a positive team culture.

You actively engage with your local community and business networks, identify referral opportunities and take ownership of connecting customers with the right specialists across the broader banking group.

You demonstrate a growth mindset, embrace change and take responsibility for your own development while supporting the development of others.

Most importantly, you align with BOQ's values and bring them to life through your actions every day, contributing to the purpose of Building Social Capital through Banking while representing the brand with professionalism, integrity and pride.
