Council is seeking applications from experienced professionals to provide high-level customer service and administrative support at the Wagga Wagga Lawn Cemetery and Crematorium.

- Permanent, full-time position (35 hours per week).
- Remuneration of $2,793.68 gross per fortnight with the prospect to progress to $3,352.42 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).

*Please note: Rates of pay for all Council employees aged between 15-18 years of age are paid in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023, Clause 32.

Your new role:

This crucial position will see you working alongside a dedicated team to provide a high level of customer service advice and support to Funeral Directors in relation to cemetery and crematorium services including funeral, cremation, interment and memorialisation services.

This role will also be responsible for bookings, scheduling, processing financial transactions, and accurately maintaining databases and electronic records systems.

What you will need to succeed:

An ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy and provide support to grieving families is essential, as the role is required to meet with bereaved families to discuss memorial options.

Ongoing support and training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Relevant business administration qualifications and experience along with a current Class C Driver’s Licence are essential requirements of this position.
