At our veterinary clinic, we are seeking a skilled leader to take on the role of Nurse Team Leader.
This position plays a vital role in the smooth operation of our clinic, requiring strong leadership and communication skills.
The successful candidate will work closely with our practice manager to provide effective communication between our team and senior leadership.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Providing guidance and support to the clinical veterinary nurse team;
* Solving operational challenges and developing new nursing standards of care, policies, and procedures;
* Contributing to our leadership team's decision-making process;
* Delivering excellent customer service and animal health advice to clients;
* Maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe working environment;
* Providing care for hospitalized patients and preparing them for surgery;
* Undertaking advanced clinical procedures under the supervision of our veterinary team.
The ideal candidate is a compassionate and empathetic leader who prioritizes the well-being of their team.
They must possess strong communication skills, be able to synthesise information and share ideas clearly, and make informed decisions when necessary.
This role also requires a collaborative approach, as the successful candidate will contribute to our Nurse Clinical Advisory Team, shaping our policies, procedures, and training resources for our team of 30+ veterinary nurses across multiple clinics.
Some Saturday morning work may be required.
