Position Overview
The Youth Mentor will play a crucial role in connecting and engaging with young people between the ages of 12 and 21. The mentor will provide both short-term access support and long-term guidance through a strength-based framework, empowering youth to make meaningful changes in their lives.
Responsibilities include building mentoring relationships, coaching growth through case plans, facilitating group activities, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance community connections.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in human services and demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting youth. Candidates should be adaptable, culturally aware, and skilled in time management and communication.
* Qualifications in Human Services (Diploma or higher) and relevant experience
* Proven ability to engage and support young people effectively
* Experience in building networks with community organisations
* Valid Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check

Salary & Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary based on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, with pay rates ranging from $38.65 to $44.58 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Salary packaging options are also available to enhance your overall remuneration.
