About This RoleUtilise your leadership expertise to provide support and advice to Corella Place service users and associated service providersOngoing, full time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public ServiceVPS Grade 6: $138,631 - $185,518 plus superannuation.The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a General Manager to provide a critical role at Corella Place as part of the Offender Services unit.About The Business UnitThe Serious Offenders Act 2018 sets out a civil, non-punitive scheme that provides for the ongoing supervision or detention of serious sex and/or serious violence residents who have completed their prison sentence and pose an unacceptable risk of committing further sexual and/or violence offences. Correction Victoria's end-to-end management and delivery of services to serious sex and serious violence offenders on post-sentence orders occurs through a multi-faceted governance and operating model.Corella Place comprises of two sites in Ararat. It is a residential facility that enhances the protection of the community by providing supported accommodation and support for high-risk and complex sex offenders when appropriate accommodation in the community is not available.About The RoleAs the Corella Place General Manager you will lead a multidisciplinary team based in a transitional accommodation setting that provides highly complex service delivery to residents with multiple and complex needs. You wll also provide both high-level technical expertise as well as strategic advice to the Department of Justice and Community Safety regarding the management of people that have committed sex offences.Some Of Your Duties Will IncludeManage all operational, service delivery and business service aspects of the Corella Place Residential Facility, across multiple sitesProvide leadership to a staff team, developing and maintaining a culture that reflects Corella Place's Mission StatementBuild and develop relationships with a range of key stakeholders, including providing CV representation at forums with local authorities and community groupsIdentify and provide authoritative advice on emerging issues and trends and provide high-level guidance on the case management of residentsTo learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Demonstrated experience in providing leadership within a highly complex service delivery area, preferably in relation to people with multiple and complex needs and/or within a legislative framework.Experience in the management of sexual offenders and/or a correctional environment is desirableAn ability to drive a culture of quality by design where quality practices are embedded in the service and solution delivery processAb ability to role models ethical leadership through decision making and interactions with peopleQualifications/requirementsRelevant qualifications or equivalent experience working in a Correctional environment and/or within a legislative framework is desirable, but not mandatoryHow To ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
