The Role
The Parks and Playground Maintenance position helps establish, preserve, and maintain the amenity of the Council area, all while providing functional and aesthetically pleasing areas of a high standard for the convenience, benefit, and safety of the public, and ensuring cost competitiveness is maintained.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
* A Certificate III in Horticulture/Greenkeeping;
* An MR Licence;
* A Chainsaw Ticket;
* Experience and knowledge in operating specialist machinery such as large tractors and front deck ride on mowers, and slashing high dense grass on sloped terrain, in a safe manner;
* Experience in the safe execution of associated tasks in an effective and efficient manner;
* Experience in the safe use and maintenance of power tools, machinery, and equipment;
* Extensive knowledge of plant and weed identification; and
* Experience working with drip line irrigation, landscaping, controlling pest and diseases, pruning small trees and shrubs, and establishing a turfed area.
