About the Role: 
We're seeking a passionate and self-motivated 
Trade Sales Development Manager 
, based in 
Townsville 
, to lead and grow Penrite's presence across 
Charters Towers, Cloncurry, and Mount Isa 
, servicing North and Northwest Queensland. This hybrid, field-based role offers a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse customer base across the 
trade, retail, agricultural, transport, and industrial sectors 
that are integral to the economic landscape of this region. 
You'll be responsible for building and maintaining strong local relationships, driving sales growth, and expanding Penrite's market footprint — supported by a trusted Australian brand and a dedicated national sales team. 
Reporting directly to the 
Regional Sales Manager 
, this role is ideal for a results-oriented professional who thrives in regional markets, works effectively with autonomy, and is confident identifying and developing business opportunities across a geographically diverse territory like 
Northwest Queensland 
. 
Key Responsibilities 
Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to trade and retail customers 
Build and maintain robust long-term relationships across your territory 
Proactively identify new business opportunities through fieldwork and local knowledge 
Attend trade events, expos, and regional customer meetings to promote Penrite products 
Provide timely reporting on territory performance and customer feedback 
Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure excellent service and supply 
What We're Looking For 
5+ years' experience in territory or regional sales (automotive or trade-related preferred) 
Prior tenure with a major oil brand or a reseller/distributor of a major oil and lubricant company 
Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets and grow market share 
Strong communication and relationship-building skills 
Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously across a wide rural area 
Full Australian work rights and current driver's licence
