Meat Department Supervisor Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Supervisor to lead our team of meat cutters, processors and customer service representatives. This is a key role that requires a strong background in the meat industry, excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all meat products are prepared, packaged and displayed in accordance with company standards and regulations. They will also be expected to maintain high levels of customer service, handle customer complaints in a professional manner and contribute to the overall success of the department.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of meat cutters, processors and customer service representatives
* Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
* Ensure that all meat products are prepared, packaged and displayed in accordance with company standards and regulations
* Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize sales
* Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve customer engagement
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* A minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory or management role within the meat industry
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in food safety, sanitation and handling
* Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
